Rebecca Young, a trainee at Kingston Smith LLP, has won the ICAEW Carter Prize for coming first in the ACA exam on financial accounting. Rebecca joined Kingston Smith in Romford in 2006 after completing her A Levels and is aiming to become a fully qualified chartered accountant by 2010.
According to Rebecca, “I’ve always had an aptitude for maths but I was genuinely surprised to have beaten all other trainees nationwide to come top in this exam. I sincerely hope that my achievement will encourage more young people who do not have the chance to go to university to pursue the chartered accountant qualification. I would like to thank Kingston Smith for all the support I’ve received throughout my training.”
Kingston Smith senior partner, Michael Snyder commented, “Congratulations to Rebecca for excellent results. Our training programme offers bright students and graduates all round experience and support. I am confident that Rebecca and our other trainees will make excellent accountants in years to come.”
