Selection Process

At Kingston Smith, we operate the following recruitment process:

  • Reviewing your application form.
  • On-line Testing - we email you a password to allow access to our numerical and verbal on-line tests. This takes approximately 1 hour to complete. You are allowed to use a calculator. You have to pass these tests to progress to the next stage.
  • Telephone Interview - a short 10 minute interview over the phone to help us find out a little bit more about you and what you know about accountancy.
  • In-House Session- during this session we will ask you to complete numerical and verbal reasoning tests. The tests will take approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete. In addition you will be asked to give a short 3 minute presentation on a topic of your choice. If you are successful you will be invited to stay for a lunch with Managers and Trainees followed by a first interview with a member of the HR Team.
  • Successful candidates will then be invited back for a Second interview with John Staniforth, HR Partner, Mark Twum-Ampofo, Partner or Julie Walsh, Partner.
