Brian brings with him a wealth of experience in corporate and personal insolvency and has focused, in recent years, on corporate insolvency assignments within the small to medium enterprise (SME) market. He joins Kingston Smith & Partners from MacIntyre Hudson, where he helped establish a new corporate and personal insolvency division in 2008.
Brian has some 11 years’ experience in insolvency, following 15 years with a leading bank, where he was responsible for growing the bank’s lending portfolio within the SME market and managing distressed businesses through difficult periods. His knowledge of helping SME and owner-managed businesses has enabled him to advise across a wide range of sectors, with particular specialisms in retail, and property development and construction.
Ian Robert, partner at Kingston Smith & Partners, comments: “We are delighted that Brian is on board and look forward to working with him. His in-depth experience spans a wide range of sectors, making him ideally placed to deal with the variety of personal and corporate insolvency assignments which Kingston Smith & Partners handles.”
Commenting on his new role, Brian adds: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to build on the excellent reputation which Kingston Smith & Partners has developed in the South East. I look forward to further developing the firm’s presence in the region, and using my experience to offer practical advice and solutions to businesses that are under pressure as the economy emerges from recession.”
