Spearheaded by Kingston Smith partner Paul Spindler, the Latin American desk will offer boutique business structuring, accounting, audit and tax services to companies and individuals.
To mark the launch of the service, Kingston Smith sponsored the British and Colombian Chamber of Commerce (B&CCC) IV Annual Trade and Investment Conference, where H.E. Mr Oscar Ivan Zuluaga, Colombia's Minister of Finance, gave a keynote speech.
After attending a private meeting with the Minister, Paul said: “Kingston Smith has a long history of helping overseas corporates and individuals establish businesses in the UK. Launching the Latin American desk is a natural extension of this work. Latin America’s reputation as a high-growth market, relatively cushioned from the recent turmoil in the world economy, offers opportunities for both investment from the UK and into the UK. We are well positioned to help take advantage of these opportunities. We are also delighted to have sponsored this event and look forward to working with the B&CCC.”
Kingston Smith is a recommended accounting firm on the UK Trade and Industry Advisory Network for inward investors and a commercial partner to Think London, London’s official investment agency.
Michael Snyder, senior partner of Kingston Smith LLP, said: “Kingston Smith’s Latin American desk supports our desire to offer clients a comprehensive range of solutions. It complements our existing services and is an area where we expect to see growing demand. Clients working with the desk can be assured of the usual high standards they have come to expect from Kingston Smith.”
