Ian Defty of Kingston Smith and Partners LLP appointed liquidator of Vinnie Jones Enterprises Limited

Ian Defty of Kingston Smith & Partners LLP has been appointed as liquidator of Vinnie Jones Enterprises Limited.

The company went into liquidation on 23 September 2009 in the High Court of Justice as a result of a petition presented by Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs in respect of unpaid taxes totalling £128,321 dating back to 2006. The sole director of the company is Vincent Peter Jones (Vinnie Jones), who describes himself as an actor and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Vinnie Jones, previously a professional footballer with Leeds, Chelsea, Wimbledon and Queens Park Rangers has appeared in a number of successful films including Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and X Men: The Last Stand. He set up Vinnie Jones Enterprises Limited in 1999 to promote his personal activities. The full amount owed by the company has yet to be ascertained.

Ian has instructed solicitor Jeremy Boyle of London firm Summit Law LLP and will investigate the activities of the director and the reasons why the company failed. He will also seek to recover any assets for the benefit of the creditors. Ian hopes to speak to Mr Jones in due course about how the debt arose and why it wasn’t paid as and when it fell due.
