Neil Finlayson joined the firm as a partner in 2001, having worked for a number of medium sized practices. He has a wide spectrum of clients, but has specialised in providing services to the charities, education, religious organisations, trade and professional associations sectors.

He lectures and writes regularly on matters relating to the charity and education sectors. He was one of founding members of Charity Finance Directors Group (CFDG) and regularly contributes to the handbook as well as co-writing the original NCVO Trustees Guide and their guide on Charity Financial Management (SORP 2005 edition).

Neil is a technical reviewer for the Chartered Institute’s Charity Annual Accounts and Review Awards. He helped establish and continues to teach on the diploma/MSc in Charity Finance, Fundraising and Grant-making at City University.
