David Goodridge joined Kingston Smith in 1985 at the City Office and moved to the St Albans office in 1987 as a manager. He became a partner in 1989. David’s clients comprise owner managed businesses, charities, education, religious organisations, trade and professional associations in addition to personal tax clients. His clients operate in a wide range of sectors including oil distribution, funeral directors, sports centres and contracting business. David is also an active member of the firm's Manufacturing sector group.

Locally, David is involved with business representation being a past President of the St Albans Chamber of Commerce and the current Chair of the local independent review group for local councillors. David also represents the Institute of Directors on Learning and Skills Council Liaison Committees.
