Mike has a particular talent for problem-solving. He always looks at the big picture, analysing the client’s business, including carefully assessing risks, recommending options and innovative ideas to help clients achieve their business goals. Mike is able to take the technical complexity out of tax planning concepts, explaining everything in an efficient and professional, yet friendly, way.
Mike has more than 27 years’ experience in advising businesses and their owners across a wide range of taxation issues. He works with entrepreneurial businesses of all sizes, helping clients meet their business and personal objectives in a tax-efficient way. His particular focus is on business structures, corporate and property transactions, share schemes and capital gains tax planning for owner-managed businesses across a variety of sectors, but with special emphasis on property and media and marketing services.
Mike stays closely involved with current tax issues and has lectured for more than 20 years on taxation matters at ICAEW and the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He is also an associate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
In his spare time he enjoys travel, golf, skiing, and spending time with his MG Midget. He also admits to supporting Liverpool FC.
