Kingston Smith launches Midas Touch entrepreneurs’ network at The Gherkin
The partners of Kingston Smith, the top 20 accountancy firm, welcomed over 170 guests to the launch of Midas Touch, a network for UK entrepreneurs and business owners, at 30 St Mary Axe, London, on Thursday 30 June.
Enjoying views across the City of London and beyond, from the top floor of the skyscraper colloquially known as ‘The Gherkin’, entrepreneurs from a wide range of industries and professional backgrounds heard Green & Black’s founder, Jo Fairley, share her experiences of building a global business brand – and describing her bank manager’s reaction when she told him why she wanted him to transfer a significant sum of money... to buy chocolate.
Introducing Jo’s keynote speech, Kingston Smith partner Julie Walsh welcomed guests to the launch event of the Midas Touch business network, as they enjoyed drinks and canapés with summer evening views across the City. Julie explained the vision behind the business network, Midas Touch, is to facilitate the face-to-face meeting of UK entrepreneurs and business owners, through a range of seminars and events, and to support their ongoing relationships, via an online network at www.midastouch.uk.com.
The members-only online network contains resources for entrepreneurs to learn about the legislation that will affect their businesses, receive expert advice, engage with other Midas Touch members, ask questions and comment confidentially.
The next Midas Touch event will be taking place at a central London venue in September, where communication expert and author, Richard Jacobs, will share his insight into how to communicate in the most effective way to win new work. Further information about the Midas Touch network, along with membership application details, can be found online at www.midastouch.uk.com.
