Governance

In our role as auditors of 700 charities we believe it is important to inform clients of all aspects of compliance with Charity Commission regulations and charity law.

Our consultancy team is able to offer Governance health checks including CC20 fundraising systems audits, advice on review of governing documents, cy-pres amendments; structure of membership, trusteeship and named officers; and how to get the most out of Board meetings.

We can help to implement governance change to existing charities, or advise on the appropriate structure for new organisations including social enterprises for whom the CIC structure might be more appropriate.

We offer regular training for Trustees on their role and responsibilities, including half or full-day in house training on the implications of recent regulatory changes for fundraising charities.

CC20 Fundraising Audits

These audits include a comprehensive briefing session to understand your requirements; review of key documents including fundraising plans, examples of fundraising approaches, policy documents and evidence of complaints procedures; and a detailed report and tailored presentations to internal audiences including trustees, senior management and fundraising staff.
