GDPR – Trade Associations and Membership Bodies – Are you ready?
With the first major review of Data Protection in the UK for 20 years, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) brings significant change and therefore risk for all organisations that process the data of members. The GDPR is set to empower the public to take back control of their data like never before, with wide ranging implications.
These will include hefty financial penalties and new restrictions on how membership bodies and trade associations can communicate with their supporters and members and the granularity of the consent required to for example send out e-newsletters or other regular communication including marketing material to members and subscribers.
But it doesn’t have to be laborious; we have designed this seminar to help you make the most of GDPR and use the changes to improve how your organisation uses personal data.
There will also be a short demonstration of the new GDPR self-certification online portal from ClearComm.
