GDPR experts, ClearComm become part of the Kingston Smith Group
Kingston Smith has strengthened its business advisory offering by investing in General Data Protection Regulation experts, ClearComm.
With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replacing the Data Protection Act in May 2018, Kingston Smith recognises its clients are reviewing how they deal with personal data. The GDPR imposes more explicit obligations on businesses to process and hold personal data securely, which ClearComm’s online solutions, data protection officer and advisory offerings can help address.
Kingston Smith Managing Partner Maureen Penfold comments: “The formalising of our relationship with ClearComm makes good business sense for us and our clients. Our investment in ClearComm means they can leverage off their existing technology and together we can offer a broader service to clients to help them reach their potential.”
Mark Burnett, ClearComm’s Head of Privacy & Data Protection Solutions adds: “We’re delighted to be able to draw on Kingston Smith’s expertise, impressive client base and reputation in the market. Their support allows us to further strengthen and develop our GDPR services to clients.”
This strategic move builds on an ongoing relationship between Kingston Smith and ClearComm who share similar client bases.
