Kingston Smith focuses on wellbeing in the workplace

Top 20 accountancy firm Kingston Smith is marking World Mental Health Day (10 October) by running an entire week of activities. The firm’s mental health awareness and wellbeing initiative focuses on five tips for mental wellbeing: being mindful, learning, being active, giving and connecting.

This week, partners and staff alike are taking part in free yoga sessions, contributing to a catalogue of learning inspiration, joining lunchtime guided walks, posting little messages of thanks and downing tools earlier than usual for a social get together.

Kingston Smith chose Mind in a staff vote to be their charity partner for 2018. Mind is the UK’s leading mental health charity. Martin Muirhead, senior partner at Kingston Smith who heads the firm’s charity committee said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Mind on a range of activities: volunteering and fundraising. One in four of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year, so Mind offers a vital service.”

Throughout 2018, the firm has been fundraising for Mind, building their own awareness of mental health issues and sharing that knowledge with others.
