Kingston Smith reports 4.8% mean gender pay gap for 2018

Top 20 accountancy and business advisory firm Kingston Smith published its 2018 gender pay gap report, with a mean gender pay gap of just 4.8%. While the firm is ahead of the national average of 18.4%, it has managed to reduce its pay gap from last year’s 7%. Kingston Smith also reports a marked improvement in its mean gender bonus gap (37.2%) over last year’s 50%.

Managing partner Maureen Penfold said: “I’m delighted that we have significantly improved our gender pay gap. While we already compare favourably with organisations, this is not the driving force for us. It is an organic result of our inclusive culture at Kingston Smith that we have built over many years. That said, we are not resting on our laurels and are constantly looking at ways to improve not only our gender pay gap but diversity as a whole.”
