With his extensive tax knowledge and having qualified as both a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser, Andrew seeks to understand both the tax and commercial pressures affecting clients, and to tailor his advice accordingly. Using his excellent communication skills, and his deep understanding of the firm’s client base, he applies his broad technical knowledge in a clear and coherent way to provide clients with the tax advice and compliance services that they want and need.

Andrew focuses predominantly on SME businesses and their owners, but additionally is experienced in advising large corporates and private individuals. He has worked with businesses and individuals across many sectors, but has a particularly keen eye for the tax issues that affect the professional firms, property and inward investment sectors.

He is a member of the ICAEW Tax Faculty’s SME Business Tax Committee and the Chartered Institute of Taxation’s Owner Managed Business Technical Sub-Committee.

Andrew joined Kingston Smith as a trainee accountant in 2004. He started his career in general practice, later specialising in tax, where over the past decade he has built up the knowledge and skills that he now uses to advise and support the firm’s clients.

Outside of work, Andrew has a young family and he enjoys spending as much time with them as possible.
