Chris Purkiss is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and has over 15 years experience in corporate and personal insolvency.

He is experienced in all forms of insolvency although latterly concentrating on investigations and contentious insolvencies spending the last 5 years as a Manager in the Special Investigations team of a Restructuring and Recovery practice of a major international accountancy practice. Prior to that Chris spent a number of years at another major international practice dealing with all forms of insolvencies including bankruptcies, liquidations and Administrations.

At his previous firm Chris was the lead Manager on a number of high profile bankruptcies and liquidations including television presenters, retired football professionals and a major football club, together with a number of contentious liquidations that involved investigations into the affairs of companies, litigation against directors, asset tracing and pursuit of antecedent transactions some of which included VAT fraud, tax avoidance schemes and disqualification of Directors.

Chris has joined the Forensic Investigations Recovery Service (“FIRS”) at Kingston Smith & Partners LLP with his main focus being on investigations and contentious insolvency of which the team already has a strong reputation and vast experience.

Chris is a qualified accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner.

Whilst Chris is mainly based in the City Office, he is also responsible for servicing our Romford Office, their clients and their needs.
