David began his career in financial services in 1983 with Prudential and joined Advisory & Brokerage Services in London in 1987. In 1990, he undertook a management buyout from Hays Allan Chartered Accountants and founded AFPS. In 2002, he merged AFPS with Jackson Batten to create Aurora Financial Group where he was Chairman and Chief Executive. The business became Origen where David was a main board director responsible for business development. He joined Argentis in 2006 as Chairman and Chief Executive and restructured Argentis in 2008 opening offices in Salisbury, Surrey and London.

In 2011 established a joint venture business with Kingston Smith called Kingston Smith Financial Advisers Ltd. This is  regulated through Argentis and is also a Chartered and independent financial planning business. David is the managing director providing an oversight role to the company.

David is a member of the Personal Finance Society and is still actively involved in providing advice to private clients working alongside a team in wealth management. Interests include golf, rugby, skiing, travelling and charity fund raising challenges.
