Mark is particularly familiar with the tax issues affecting larger owner-managed business and financial services clients. He specialises in relationship-driven tax advice, making sure that a client’s tax issues are addressed not only from a commercial perspective but taking their personal situation and needs into account as well. Mark works closely with other partners and staff within Kingston Smith as part of wider client service team, making sure that all services delivered by the firm are provided in a ‘connected’ way.
Mark has spent the past 17 years working with clients of all sizes, including entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses and SMEs, as well as larger corporates and financial services clients. He has acted for clients in a wide variety of industries and has particular experience of tax issues affecting the financial services and property sectors.
In his previous firm, Mark spent six years helping to create and build a successful financial services tax team. He has worked extensively with asset management firms, non-bank lending businesses and support industries across the financial services sector.
Mark is a regular speaker on tax at external events and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
In his spare time Mark enjoys spending time with his young family and marathon running.
