Consultant to the Theatre team, Steve has a profound understanding of the way theatre accounts work. With over 30 years’ experience in the sector, Steve is used to communicating effectively with non-accountants. He can explain issues without being too technical, which his clients find refreshing. Many say that, working with Steve, they find themselves understanding for the first time something that has always confused them.

Clients appreciate that Steve genuinely cares about their business. He has been involved in music and theatre since 1984, working with clients mainly to stabilise new businesses. He still loves seeing their businesses develop and being part of the process.

His knowledge of the industry is complemented by the expansive network of contacts he has built up over the decades. Clients like the security of knowing that Steve is always there should they have a problem or query.

Previously, Steve worked more on the accounting side, having qualified as an accountant in 1980. He developed the provision of running account preparation in the theatre business in the early 90s. He was a founder partner of Anderson & Pennington and is a trustee of the Open Air Theatre in Regent’s Park.

Beyond his passion for music and theatre, Steve is also a huge sports fan (playing and watching). He coaches the junior section at Tulse Hill & Dulwich Hockey Club, umpires for them and the senior section and is also a trustee/director at the club. He is very keen on photography, cooking and travel but his main love is spending time with his family.
